As a part of the October 2023 Public Power Week (PPW) celebration, GPA held its annual Food (canned) Drive. This special community-focused outreach offered aid to Catholic Social Service as this year’s benefitting organization.

GPA and GWA Executive Management and employees along with our energy partners and the community donated contributions totaling over 2,600 food items and 128 supply items for Catholic Social Service.
Items such as canned meats, seafood, veggies and fruit along with rice, beans and non-refrigerated milk were among the items donated during the food drive.

On October 24, 2023, GPA public power outreach committee members transported and dropped off three truck-loads of donated canned and other food items to Catholic Social Service.

At GPA, we remain committed to the #PowerToServe our local community. Our team is grateful for the opportunity to support such a worthwhile cause such as helping Catholic Social Service to fill their food pantry so they may continue feeding individuals and families in need.
