For the fourth consecutive year, GPA served as a proud sponsor for the Special Olympics Guam (SOGU) 2026 Softball Championship Jamboree. Unlike previous years, when the season was held in October during Public Power Week, this year’s season began earlier on Saturday, May 2, 2026, with the final championship game held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Dededo Softball Field (Dededo/Harmon Sports Complex).

This year, GPA partnered with Academy of Our Lady Guam (AOLG) to coach a team comprised of SOGU athletes, Team Mawar! The team's name, as well as that of the competing team, Team Sinlaku, was chosen by the athletes themselves. 

In preparation of the Championship Jamboree, GPA employees donated their time at weekly Saturday practices, helping athletes build their skills and confidence. Similar to last year, the team was led by Lead Coach Jamie Pinaula and Assistant Coaches Pat Blas and Triny Quichocho from Customer Service, whose guidance, leadership, and dedication helped power Team Mawar to a first-place finish! Their unwavering support and commitment to the athletes throughout the season played a key role in the team's success.

During the medaling ceremony, GPA Communications staff presented medals to all participating athletes and congratulated them on their outstanding performances.
