Guam Power Authority visited the students at DL Perez Elementary School on March 8, 2024, to educate them on energy efficiency and conservation. 

The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Presentation was conducted by GPA SPORD Engineer III, Victor Torres. This presentation educated students on how they can save energy, protect the environment, and help sustain natural resources on our island.

In addition, students were informed about how energy is generated, the types of energy sources (non-renewable and renewables), and the different ways GPA makes electrical energy.

GPA Communication staff promoted the Beat-the-Peak campaign. Students were taught the importance of conserving energy during peak hours and different ways they could “Beat-the-Peak”.

At the end of the presentation, students were given student-related promotional items.
