GPA participated in Talofofo Elementary School's Career Day on Friday, May 03, 2024.

There were over 200 students ranging from grades Kindergarten through 5th grade that visited the GPA booth.

T&D Crew were led by Roque Santos & Ryan Hattori – their team consisted of lineman apprentices Zachary Q Santos, James JD San Nicolas, Elli’ Ana Eda T. Nededog, Javier VD Concepcion, Jaren J Gumataotao, Keith Noah G. Ogo, Raythan XM Sablan, Ross R. Blas.

The team demonstrated how to use their PPEs and how to properly ascend in a bucket truck. Our linemen also demonstrated a hot dog experiment for electrical safety, which showed students the harmful effects electricity causes on human skin without the use of safety gear.

Communications Office team spoke with students about the various careers, apprenticeships and internships offered by GPA as well as energy-efficiency & conservation tips to highlight the ongoing Beat the Peak campaign.

Special shotout to Isla, a 2nd grade student at Talofofo Elementary School who was in attendance at the Career Day event. She is the daughter of James San Nicolas, T&D Lineman Apprentice.
